An ode to Neapolitan cake

O! Neapolitan cake!

With your many layers,

you make my lips quake.

I could eat you all day

but a thousand pounds I would weigh.

 Delicious green, yellow and pink

of you all day I will think.

Now, I don’t know about everyone else but for me finding a good make-up is extremely difficult. My skin will break out, become extra dry, extra oily and extra scary. So when my mother told me about Clinque’s new Moisture Surge tinted moisturizer I was a bit skeptical. I mean I love her, but she has also recommended some doozies in her day. In the end curiosity won out and I’m glad it did. This is literally the best thing I have ever put on my face. Combined with washing my face every night with Neutrogena Naturals purifying facial cleanser and my skin has never looked better! Looks as though mother really does know best. Maybe I should explore blue eye shadow and darker blush after all.

DO YOU WANT to know a secret? People assume I read it only because I have to—but I truly enjoy literature for children and young adults.

True, it’s a key part of doing my job well, but when I get to choose a book for pleasure reading, I am more likely to choose a young adult title than an adult one. And why not? Young adult literature is imaginative and well-written, and the characters face challenges that resonate with everyone, regardless of age. Read more…
